Its after a suspicious package was found in some bushes along a footpath on The Street in Botesdale on Wednesday afternoon.
The Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) were contacted and a cordon was set up Upon the instructions of the BDS a cordon was put in place and at around 2pm residents within a 100m radius were asked to vacate their properties.
A controlled explosion was carried outon the package, which was discovered to be harmless.
Residents returned to their homes at around 6pm.
