Two men arrested after a man was shot in the leg in Suffolk have been released on bail by police.
Two men arrested after a 25-year-old man was shot in the leg in Trimley St Mary have now been bailed to allow further enquiries to be carried out.
The 25-year-old, from the London area, was found in Cordy’s Lane around 1pm on Saturday 28 December with a gunshot wound to his leg. He was taken to Ipswich Hospital for treatment before being discharged on Sunday 29 December.
The two – a 27-year-old and a 25-year-old, both from the Felixstowe area – were arrested Friday 3 January, on suspicion of GBH and were both interviewed in connection with the incident.
Both have now been bailed to return to police on Thursday 3 April while further enquiries are made.
Officers are continuing to ask anyone with information about the incident or anyone who witnessed the shooting to contact Suffolk Police by dialling 101.
Police say it is known there were several people walking dogs in the area around the time of the incident and police are asking anyone who was there to get in touch.
