Abingdon: Man Dies In Fire

An investigation has started after the death of a man in a house fire in Abingdon

3 fire engines from Abingdon and Didcot fire stations were called to a house in Preston Road at 1755 on Sunday 26th January 2014.

An elderly man was found inside, who had died.

Thames Valley Police and Oxfordshire County Council Fire & Rescue Service is now investigating to identify the most likely cause of the fire, which at this stage is not thought to be suspicious.
