Arborfield Death Now Murder

A man has appeared appeared at Reading Magistrates' Court today, June 7th, charged with the murder of a woman in Arborfield

The 30 year old from Arborfield has also been charged with attempted rape.

Tests carried out on the body of a woman found in a field near Reading have found she died from suffocation.

The discovery was made on land near Robin Hood Copse at around 1pm on Monday 3rd June 2013 during searches being carried out in connection with a missing woman inquiry.

The body is that of 39-year-old Nepalese national Krishnamaya Mabo, who went missing from her home in Arborfield on Sunday evening (2/6). 

Senior Investigating Officer Det Ch Insp Gill Wootton said: "I would appeal to anyone who was in the area of open land or woodland between Castle Hill and Eversley Road yesterday afternoon or last night, or who lives nearby, to call us if they saw anything unusual or suspicious."

Heart's being told there will be a heightened police presence in the area over the coming days and extra reassurance patrols will be taking place for as long as necessary.
