Two men have been arrested on suspicion of murder after a stabbing in Bracknell.
Police are telling Heart they were called by ambulance staff to a house in Appledore in Great Hollands at 11.25pm yesterday – where a man in his twenties had been stabbed in the chest.
Paramedics tried to save him, but he died a short time later.
Two men, aged 42 and 31, are now in police custody being questioned on suspicion of murder.
Police are reassuring residents that they don’t believe the stabbing was a random attack.
Senior Investigating Officer Detective Chief Inspector Vince Grey said: “The investigation is still in an early stage, however we do have two men in custody and a number of enquiries are underway.
“I would like to reassure residents that a full investigation is taking place and incidents such as this are rare in Bracknell.
"We also believe the victim knew his attackers and this was not a stranger attack.”
