A man has been charged after a teenage boy was stabbed near Reading.
21-year-old Thomas Biggs is accused of wounding with intent in connection with the assault in Burghfield Common on Sunday (27/4)
Biggs, of Hawksworth Road in the village, is due to appear at Reading Magistrates’ Court this morning (29/4).
Police were called to Saxby Close in Burghfield Common just after midnight on Sunday.
The victim, a 16-year-old boy, sustained stab wounds and was taken to the Royal Berkshire Hospital for treatment to his injuries.
He has since been discharged from hospital.
A second man, from Theale, Reading, aged 20, was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and has been bailed until 10 June.
