Harwell: Rape Investigation

An investigation has started into claims a woman was raped in the village of Harwell near Didcot
The alleged attack took place by a stranger in a field near North Drive on Monday 2 December 2013 between 9.30pm and 11pm.
The man was 30 to 35-years-old, white with a tan and over 6ft tall. He had short dark hair.
The victim reported the incident to police this month.
Officers would like to speak to anyone who was in the area on the evening of 2 December or saw anyone acting suspiciously around Harwell.
Det Insp Louise Roddy from Abingdon Force CID said: “We are in the early stages of this investigation but I urge people to think back to December and if they have any information, however small, to contact police immediately.
“I also want to take this opportunity to remind people that incidents like this are extremely rare and we are doing everything to locate this offender.
“The neighbourhood team will be patrolling the area and I ask anyone with any concerns, please do approach them or get in touch on 101.”
