A man from High Wycombe who admitted sexually abusing three girls in Marlow is starting a nine and a half year sentence.
Geoffrey Solomons, of Rectory Avenue, Amersham Hill, was convicted of five counts of indecent assault of a child under 13, two counts of indecency with a child under 13 and two counts of having sex with a child under 13.
The 57 year old pleaded guilty at Oxford Crown Court on 20 June.
Between 1972 and 1983, Solomons sexually abused three girls who were all under 13 at the time.
Investigating officer Sgt Kate Burton said: “I want to personally thank these victims for having the bravery to come forward.
“That can’t have been easy after so much time. But thanks to their courage, this man is now behind bars.
“I also want to thank the witnesses who came forward in this case. I hope such an outcome will help the victims, who have lived with what he did their entire lives.
“Hopefully this sends out a message that we do take reports like this seriously, we will investigate them thoroughly and we will bring offenders to justice.”
