Hundreds Left Standing on Thames Valley Train Services

The latest figures show 4 Thames Valley services are in the top ten most overcrowded services in the South East.

The 7.44 train from Henley to London Paddington was the most overcrowded with an extra 148 passengers traveling than the train has capacity for, a load of 166%

The 7.31 from Oxford to London Paddington came in third with an extra 210 passengers, a load of 155%.

People coming home were also affected, the 18.45 and 18.57 from London Paddington back to Reading came in at 5th and 7th most overcrowded.

The figures out this week from the Department of Transport are taken from Spring 2011.

First Great Western say they're introducing extra carriages on most of their services throughout this year and some have already been introduced.
