Long Hanborough: Girl Sexually Assaulted

A man has been charged after an 11 year old girl was been sexually assaulted at a playing field in Oxfordshire.
She'd been with a friend just off Roosevelt Road when they were approached by a man at about 5pm on Sunday. The man then assaulted her.
23-year-old Joshua Smith, of Church Road in Long Hanborough, has been charged and remanded in custody to appear at Oxford Magistrates Court today (03/06).
Detective Inspector Tom Brooks, of Banbury Force CID, said, said: "I am appealing to anyone who has any information about the incident to please contact police via the 24-hour 101 number.
"A scene watch has been in place at the park and if any members of the public have any concerns they can approach an officer or call our non-emergency number 101."
