3 men have appeared in court charged with the murder of 38 year old Darren Keith Lock after he died from serious injuries on Friday night.

22-year-old Joshua Anderson of no fixed address, Matthew Anderson, aged 20 (also of no fixed address), and Dean Robinson, aged 32, from Thatcham, each appeared at Reading Crown Court today after Darren Keith Lock was found with stab wounds at an address in Queens Road in Newbury at around 10pm on Friday.

Police said today he died from shock and haemorrhage from stab wounds to his legs.

All three men have also been charged with the attempted murder of a 33-year-old man, who was found with serious injuries just around the corner on Boundary Road earlier that evening.

He's now been discharged from hospital.

Matthew Anderson and Joshua Anderson have also been charged with actual bodily harm following an assault on a 43-year-old man near The Plough Pub in Greenham Road, Newbury at about 10.30pm on Friday.

Further to that, both men are also facing charges of actual bodily harm after two men were assaulted in Thatcham town centre in the early hours of Saturday.

A 32-year-old man who was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender has been released on police bail until 6 June.

Following the incidents, police have been carrying out extra patrols to offer reassurance to people living nearby.
