A 58 year old Oxford man arrested on suspicion of murder has been released without charge after it turns out a Headington pensioners death wasn't suspicious.
Police had discovered the elderly woman after being called to a house in The Link on Saturday 25th May.
A post mortem revealed that she had in fact died of natural causes.
Senior Investigating Officer Detective Chief Inspector Ian Hunter said: 'A post-mortem examination was carried out by a Home Office pathologist , which concluded the woman died from natural causes.
'The woman’s death has been the subject of a full and thorough investigation and we are satisfied there are no suspicious circumstances.
'A 58-year-old man who was arrested in connection with the death has been released without charge.
'A file will now be handed over to the Oxfordshire Coroner’s Office in due course.'
