A 21 year old woman's been the victim of a sexual assault whilst walking in Slough.
Police are telling Heart it happened at about 11.30pm on 29th September 2013, as the 21-year-old walked along the Uxbridge Road, when she noticed a man was walking behind her. The woman became uneasy and started to run. As she ran over the railway bridge, she turned and the man grabbed her, before touching her inappropriately.
The victim screamed and the man ran off in the direction of the A4 and Sainsbury's. Two householders came to help her and called police.
The offender is white, in his mid-twenties, about 5ft 5ins to 5ft 6ins, slim, with fair skin. He was wearing a dark hooded top with the hood up and spoke with a local accent.
Det Sgt John Wordsworth, investigating the incident, said: “This was a frightening incident for the victim and she has been left extremely shaken and upset.
“She sustained a grazed knee when she fell after the assault but fortunately was not seriously injured.
“I am keen to speak to anyone who saw the victim walking down the road or a man matching the suspect’s description. I would also like to reassure members of the community that officers are thoroughly investigating this worrying incident and a number of lines of enquiry are underway. Additional patrols will also be made in the area, although at present this is believed to be an isolated incident.”
