Unconscious Man Found in Oxford

Thames Valley Police are trying to find out the name of a man who was found lying unconscious in the street in Oxford.

The man, who is believed to be 44, was found on the pavement in Catte Street, near St Mary The Virgin Church, at around 7am on Tuesday morning (4th September 2012).

He was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital where is is recovering from a head injury.

Officers are now trying to confirm his identity and contact his family.

DS Lewis told Heart: "We would like to hear from anyone who saw the man or has any information about how he came to be in Catte Street yesterday morning. We are not ruling out any possibility at this stage, and we urge anyone with information to come forward as soon as possible."
