Four knives, a loaded crossbow and a taser have been found at a house in Headington by police carrying out a drugs raid.

Officers from the neighbourhood team went to the house at Stowood Close at 8am on May 16.

They arrested a 27-year-old man on suspicion of possession of offensive weapons and possession of class B drugs after finding around 20 deals of cannabis.

He has been released on bail until June 15.

PC Kelly Love, neighbourhood officer for Headington, said: “This was a successful warrant which resulted in one arrest and a quantity of herbal cannabis being recovered.

“We rely on intelligence from residents to tackle drug supply in our communities and I would encourage anyone who has any information or suspicions about drug supply to contact us.”
