Wokingham Regeneration Plans

After collecting loads of your feedback last year, planners in Wokingham need your help again to shape the future of the town.

The idea is to show you how last year's feedback has been incorporated into current plans, and to gather more opinions on what residential areas and open spaces should look like.

A 3D model of the plans has been made so you can get a real idea of what Wokingham could look like in years to come.

Wokingham Borough Council's executive member for regeneration and affordable housing Councillor Alistair Corrie told Heart:

"We look forward to hearing what people think of the evolving plans and would urge people to give us their views so that we can take this into account as the proposals are finalised."

It's hoped including a major food store in the proposals will bring new trade to the town centre and support existing businesses.

The plans will be going on public display in a marquee on Elms Field from 12pm-7pm today (Friday) and from 10am-4pm on Saturday July 14.

The exhibition will then be moved to the council offices at Shute End until the end of the month.
