A woman's being treated in hospital after she was allegedly kidnapped by three men pretending to be police officers.

The 30-year-old woman was walking to her car outside the Spa shop in Ploughley Road in Ambrosden near Bicester at around 10:20am this morning (Thursday 4th August, 2011).

Police have told Heart as she was about to get into her car, three men pretending to be police officers bundled her into her Range Rover and assaulted her.

They drove to her house in East Hawthorn Road where her boyfriend was, attacked him, before stealing a large amount of cash.

They then drove the woman's car back to the Spa shop where they left it and escaped in another vehicle.

The woman has been treated for her injuries at the John Radcliffe Hospital.

The men are described as white and in their thirties. One of them was wearing a balaclava and the other two were wearing scarves covering their faces.

Det Sgt Howard Berry has told Heart they want to speak to anyone who may have seen these men in the area.

“The men have returned to the shop, so we want to hear from anyone who saw them leaving the Range Rover and getting into another vehicle. We want to know what type of vehicle this was and which direction it travelled in when it left the scene.

“Our investigation is on-going at this time and we have a team of officers working in the local area, speaking with local residents and doing door-to-door enquiries.

“It’s important to stress that incidents of this nature are highly unusual and that if any of the local residents have any concerns they should contact their local policing team via the 0845 8 505 505 number.”
