Simon's profile

Hi,

I'm Simon, a 41 year old father of 3 and live in the lovely River Dart village of Stoke Gabriel

Two years ago at around 21.5 stones I had hit rock bottom. I hated my job and did not like the way I looked and my total lack of energy.

I made the decision to do something about it and 2 years on I have lost 7.5 stone and feel fitter, more energetic and healthier than I ever believed possible.

I wanted to share my new found energy and enthusiasm so I gave up my job as an Estate Agent of 22 years and trained to become a personal trainer in the hope that my own successful achievement and empathetic viewpoint would help to motivate and support others to change their lifestyles for the better.

I want to make working out  a fun and exciting activity for people that motivates us to get the most out of ourselves and to enjoy life to the full and believe we can all find some sort of exercise to suit our different lifestyles. Being fit is not just about running marathons it can be  about just doing the little things that we enjoy for a few minutes a day and feeling the rewards and enjoying better health  and vitality.

For me diets do not work...they are just a quick fix...the key to sustained weight management is simply healthy eating in and lifestyle changes which include eating sensibly and exercising regularly.

Losing weight and getting fit is not rocket science but it is something that requires hard work, dedication and motivation. thats where I can help by offering support and encouragement in an effective and professional manner and in the hope that my personal journey to fitness enables me to understand just what it takes to get to where you want to get. ...and stay there!

I particularly enjoy the boxing style of training which works the whole body and tones as well as torches fat and flattens the tummy. I use circuits too as an effective method and general cardio and weights/resistance related equipment.

But the most important thing is to tailor your workouts to what you enjoy the most...that way you are more likely to stick with it for the long run. There are loads of things you can do at home and you don't have to spend hours on end working out....just a few minutes here and there throughout the day soon adds up to a great end result!

My aim is to support people who want to get fit and lose weight via a whole body holistic approach and to help people be who they really want to be!
