Denbighshire road improvements

Works worth £3million will be carried out on Denbighshire's roads thanks to funding from the Council and the Welsh Assembly Government.

Cabinet Lead Member for Environment, Councillor Sharon Frobisher, said: "This is a fantastic amount of funding for our roads.

"Roads are a corporate priority at Denbighshire and I am delighted to see such a comprehensive list of works being identified for the year ahead, which will make significant improvements across the county.

"This is especially good news after the harsh winter we had, which saw the state of some of our roads deteriorate so markedly in such a short time."

Included in the list will be resurfacing works to Meliden Road, Prestatyn, a number of sections of the A525 at Rhyl, St Asaph and Llandegla; Panaroma and Vicarage Roads in Llangollen; Bull Lane and Park Street in Denbigh and along the A5104 Glanyrafon to the shooting ground near Llandegla to name but a few.

There will also be a large number of other improvements throughout the County such as microasphalting, surface dressing and drainage works.
