£5,000 reward in Wolverhampton murder enquiry
A £5,000 reward has been offered for information which leads to a group of conmen who robbed an old lady who later died.
The incident happened back on Friday in the Tettenhall area, when the three men tricked their way into the home of 90 year old Hester Mottershead by claiming to be from the water board.
When she realised what had happened she made a distressed call to be police. A short time later the former Headmistress of Bilston Girls School and Wolverhampton Girls High School died, it's thought after suffering a stroke brought on by the stress of the ordeal.
A murder enquiry has been launched by police who have appealed directly to those involved to come forward.
They've also warned others to be on guard when opening the door to strangers, even if they claim to be from a legitimate company.
