Police have released a photo of a man they are looking for in connection with an attempted murder in 2011
It is believed that Thang, as he's known, attended a party at Rotton Park Road in Edgbaston on Saturday 17 September and became involved in an argument with the victim.
Thang has then allegedly held a gun to the 28-year-old man's head before shooting him in the leg.
Police believe that Thang may frequent the Birmingham area and are appealing to anyone who may recognise the image to come forward.
An investigation was launched and four men were initially arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, they were later released without charge.
DC Stephen Little, from force CID, said: "We are keen to hear from anyone who recognises the photo and can help supply a name or location for the man.
"There were approximately 30 people who attended the party that night and although we have spoken to nearly all of them, we are sure someone must know this man and could help us progress our inquiry."
If anyone has any information they are urged to contact West Midlands Police by calling 101. Alternatively people can leave information anonymously by contacting Crimestoppers the independent charity on 0800 555 111.
