A double murder inquiry has been launched after the bodies of a man and a woman were found at a house earlier today.
West Midlands Police said officers had arrested a man following the deaths at a property in Solihull.
Police were called to reports of an attack inside the house on Hermitage Road at 5.15 this morning and the scene has been sealed off for forensic inquiries to be carried out.
Detective Inspector Martin Slevin, who is leading the investigation, said "The inquiry is in its early stages but police are not looking for anyone else in connection with the deaths at this stage."
A 23 year-old man is under arrest, being held on suspicion of murder.
Neighbours of the people found dead, a 58-year-old man and a 50-year-old woman, said the area was normally quiet and crime-free.
Speaking after police widened the cordon placed around the house, one resident said: "It's shocking to see so many police cars and vans and be told two people have died."
"All we've heard is that there's been a murder and that someone has been arrested."
