We spoke to a friend of the show, Adam Woodyatt about his lifetime achievement award for his portrayal of Ian Beale in Eastenders, that he picked up at the Soap Awards.

Other winners included Coronation Street who were named the Best Soap, they won a total of eight awards, including Villain of the Year, Sexiest Female and Best Actor.
