Ed & Rachel's Super Group!

Spaghetti Junction!!! After we heard that the X Factor auditions weren't coming to the West Midlands this year, we knew something had to be done!

When we heard the news that Simon Cowell wasn't bringing the X Factor auditions to the West Midlands this year because there "isn't enough talent" we were outraged and knew that something had to be done about it!

Here's the official statement from the X Factor Press Office:

"We have held successful auditions in Birmingham in the past year, but we like to try new places to visit each year"

We've had plenty of talent make it onto the X Factor and Britain's Got Talent from the West Midlands so we knew what we needed to do - put them all together and form a Super Group!!! (Kind of like One Direction!)

So we started to pull a list of people together... and here's how the group looks!

(Listen back to when we called them and asked them to join the group - very funny!)

Nikki Evans - X Factor 2007
Jean Martyn - Britain's Got Talent 2011
 Wagner!!! - X Factor 2010 - Pulled out!
Julian Smith - Britain's Got Talent 2009

So with the group together and the talent strong, we begin to put together our plans for the group...

No group can ever get started without a name so we asked you for your help! The suggestions came flooding in....

Here are some of your suggestions…

The Yamyams.

Midlands Xpress

Factor X

Midlands Mix or Midlands Allsorts

How about The Yummy Brummies.

The band should be called THE ODDBALLS

Spaghetti Junction would be a great Midlands based band!

Its got to be "The Returners"

The UNusual Suspects.

AND the name we decided to go with was Spaghetti Junction!!!

On Wednesday we received some devastating news - the legend that is Wagner has decided to pull out of our super group.

But the show must go on and we now needed a song for Niki, Jean and Julian to perform!

Here are some of your suggestions...

Chumbawumba - Tubthumping

A million love songs

Erasure - A little respect

Duran Duran - Rio

Madness - It Must Be Love

Lou Bega - Mambo No.5

Baker Street - for the sax solo!

Crocodile Rock by Elton

Keep listening all week to find out what we do with the West Midland's most exciting new group and we will be needing your help deciding exactly what we do with them!

We took the group to Arkham recording studios in Hockley, Birmingham to record their debut single! Check out the photos from the day below...
