Heart Breakfast Dad Race
We've been given a very special opportunity to put your Dad among the world's greatest athletes right here in the West Midlands.
On Sunday 24th June Heart Breakfast is taking a handful of Dads from across the West Midlands and setting them the ultimate challenge.
At the Alexander stadium this Sunday, 750 of Britain's best athletes will be competing head-to-head for a spot at this year's Olympic games.
And right in the middle of the trials, Heart Breakfast has it's very own 100m Dad sprint.
In front of a full capacity stadium, we're putting your average, competitive Dad in a challenge that he will never forget!
As well as running the race he'll be getting the full Trials event experience with access to warm-up areas, being walked out onto the track and be treated like a true athlete!
Here's how to race is shaping up so far...
LANE 1
Ready to race in Lane 1 we've got Andrew James - his daughter Becky put him up for the race after he showed himself up while trying to coach a girl's football team - by not warming up and pulling a calf muscle!
LANE 2
In Lane 2 we have Paul Blakeman who's daughter Carita text us telling us he broke his ribs going down a slide in the style of superman!
LANE 3
In Lane 3 we have Martin! This poor guy was playing football, and shortly after one of the kids said he was pretty quick for a fat man, he ripped his calf muscle! Embarrasing!
LANE 4
Here in Lane 4 we have Tim! He was nominated by his son Luke to take part in the race! How will he do? We'll have to wait and see...
LANE 5
In Lane 5 we have Mark! His daughter Ella nominated him to run after telling us the story about him passing out after playing a rather sweaty game of tennis!
