The Heart Breakfast Bake Off
On the Heart breakfast show we decided to test Ed's controversial statement, that a supermarket bought black forest gateau is just as good as a home baked one.
Here is how our Heart Breakfast bake-off worked... Rachel slaved away for hours the night before baking her gateaux by hand, whilst Ed bought his ready made (the lazy way of course) from the supermarket. Then the two cakes were taken out anonymously to be tested on the general public to see which black forest gateaux people preferred!

The majority of people voted for Cake A... which unfortunately for Rachel, was Ed's shop bought gateaux!!! She was absolutely distraught that Ed's theory was true (in this case anyway!).
However, after show Ed and Rachel went to visit Glynn Purnell to have an expert's opinion on who's black forest gateau should actually win!

Rachel was extremely pleased that Glynn thought her home baked gateau was much better than the shop bought one (and really it's the experts opinion that matters!!!).
In other words, supermarket bought goods don't beat home made ones!
