Children in care in Wiltshire are desperately in need of new friends.
That has prompted calls for volunteers to befriend youngsters who have no-one else to turn to.
The Independent Visitor Scheme provides visits for youngsters who are in care and have little or no contact with their family.
It gives them the oportunity to meet up with someone who isn't from the system and can listen to them or help them find new activities to get involved in.
Shelia Lupton from the Scheme told Heart why the volunteers are so important:
Anyone interested in becoming a volunteer should contact 01373 859485, email iv@ypvoice.co.uk or visit www.wiltshire.gov.uk
