Devizes: Man Dies After Collision With Bus

The stretch of road in Devizes which was closed this morning following a fatal road traffic collision has reopened.

Wiltshire Police are still appealing for witnesses following the incident which took place shortly before 7.40am on Prison Bridge (A361), Devizes, involving a motorbike and a bus. 

The motorcyclist, a 22-year-old male from the Devizes area, received emergency medical treatment at the scene but sadly died as a result of his injuries. 

The bus driver and passengers were all uninjured. 

The road was closed in both directions on Prison Bridge until 12noon but now fully reopened. 

Police officers will remain in the area conducting further enquiries. 

Officers are urging anyone who witnessed the incident to contact them immediately on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where information can be left anonymously.
