£230.000 cannabis factory find

Cannabis plants worth £230,000 have been found during a raid by Merseyside Police.

A 28-year-old man has been arrested after the find in Kensington on Wednesday.

They were called to an address on Garrick Street where the factory of more than 570 plants was found.

Police say 6 rooms of the house were used to grow the plants and they also found high powered lights and transformers.

Sergeant Richard Smith, Liverpool South Tactical Team, said:

"This is a substantial discovery which was made by working together with the local community.

"We treat all drug production, cultivation and supply very seriously.

"The Force is committed to getting drugs off the streets and our efforts to cut off the supply of these substances is crucial to that."
