Boy 16 killed in Heswall car crash

A 16 year old boy's been killed in a car crash in Heswall on the Wirral yesterday.

Merseyside Police can confirm an investigation is underway into the accident in on Telegraph Road in Heswall.

Emergency services were called just before 4pm to a report that two vehicles, a black Ford Fiesta and a beige Nissan Micra, had been in collision.

A 16-year-old, who was a passenger in the Fiesta, was taken to hospital by ambulance where he later died.

A further six people, the occupants of both vehicles, were also taken to hospital, where three of them remain critically injured.  

Police, Fire Service and Paramedics attended the scene and the road remain closed in both directions.

An investigation into the incident is underway.
