CCTV released after 2005 murder

Police in Liverpool investigating the murder of a mum of four in September 2005 have released CCTV footage of a man they think can help their investigation.

Anne Marie Foy was found dead near the Royal Liverpool Hospital five years ago.

The man police are trying to identify is described as wearing dark clothing and the top has a white horizontal stripe across the front.

He also appears to be carrying a white parcel underneath his right arm.

Detective Superintendent Ian Kemble, who is the Senior Investigating Officer on the case, said:

"This is new footage that we have uncovered and we are keen to speak to this gentleman as we believe he may have seen something which could prove vital to our investigation.

"It is five years since Anne Marie Foy was murdered and her family are struggling to come to terms with her death, the man in this CCTV footage could possibly help us with information which could help us to find the offender and give closure to the family.

"If you are the person in the CCTV footage please contact the inquiry team at Stanley Road on 0151 777 8635 - you may have vital information which could help us bring this offender to justice."
