The Cheshire's come home

The 1st Battalion of the Mercian Regiment (Cheshire) return home

Hundreds lined the streets of Northwich, Ellesmere Port and Birkenhead for the homecoming parade for the 1st Battalion of the Mercian Regiment (Cheshire).

They've returned from a 6 month tour of Aghanistan, 12 soldiers lost their lives.

On November 11th hundreds lined the streets around Chester to welcome the battalion.  The Cheshires had a special remembrance service in the Cathedral before observing the two minutes silence.

They then marched through the city with them getting a round of applause all the way around.
