Speeding drivers face Kids in Court

Now - you've got caught speeding would you rather face a fine and points or face children from a primary school in a court?

Well Police on Merseyside, along with Wirral Council's Road Safety Team have been stopping speeding drivers outside Heswall Primary School and then sending them into the school to face the panel of children who will give them a lesson about the importance of road safety.

In just a couple of hours police stopped 9 drivers but two were speeding in excess of 40 miles an hour, so they automatically  received a fine and three points on their licence.

Alan was caught speeding and says it made him think twice about what speed he was doing:

"I've been caught speeding, and I shouldn't have been doing that, all I can say is that I'm sorry."
