Man Shot Dead In Sheffield

A man has died following a shooting in Sheffield City Centre last night.
A man has died, and another injured, following an incident in Sheffield city centre last night (Sunday 21 December).
It is believed the two men were shot at inside a vehicle on Derek Dooley Way at around 10.15pm before driving to the Parkway.
They were taken to hospital, where the passenger inside the vehicle was pronounced dead.
One other person inside the the car remains in hospital in a stable condition. Both men are 22 and from the Sheffield area.
No one has been arrested.
Two lanes of the Sheffield Parkway out of the city centre are currently closed but one lane does remain open to motorists. It's anticipated they will remain closed throughout the morning as police continue their enquiries. The Parkway into the city is unaffected.
This also means the Park and Ride at Nunnary Square is not accessible by car via the Parkway.
Police would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident or to anyone who has any information that could help their enquiries.
