Saturday 4th - Sunday 26th January Art Display. The work of 20 top local artists is on display at Williams Art in Gwydir Street, Cambridge. The art was chosen from those at the Rheebridge Open Art Exhibition at Cottenham Village College and include portrait and landscape artist John Glover who was judged Cambridgeshire’s favourite artist by both the experts and the public. Saturday 18th January Annual 2nd Cottenham Scouts Jumble Sale. Cottenham Village College 2pm - 4pm. Donations required to support the sale. We are looking for donations of the following: Clothes, linen, books, toys and bric a brac. Please note we are unable to accept donations of large items of furniture or televisions. Items can be dropped off at the front of Cottenham Village College from 9am on the day. Call 01954 204562 to arrange collections. Come along and grab a bargain! Tombola, cakes and much more!

Sunday 19th January Tabletop Fair at Welbourne School, Goodwin Walk, Werrington, Peterborough PE4 6NR 1pm - 3pm. 20p admission and a pitch £5 Tel 01733 573057. Event is aiding the devoted work of Mill House Animal Sanctuary also collecting donations of animal food.

Sunday 19th January Seedy Sunday offers everyone the chance to swap surplus seed and have a fun afternoon learning how to get more out of your garden. Trumpington Allotment Society and Transition Cambridge invite you to take part in their popular annual event in the Trumpington Village Hall on High Street, Trumpington, Cambridge CB2 9HZ from 1.30pm to  4pm, with stalls, films, talks and refreshments. All are welcome and entry is £1.50 with children free. If you don't have any spare seeds, don't worry - there are always plenty to go round. This year’s speaker is Keith Jordan on “The Joy of Seeds” at 2:00pm and the film show is “Seeds of Sovereignty” at 3:00pm. There will also be stalls including Thomas Etty Heritage Seed Merchants, Trumpington Community Orchard, Trumpington Allotment Society and Transition Cambridge as well as refreshments provided by Trumpington W.I.. Plus some children's activities around fun with seeds and a student networking session on “Grow your Own”.
