A burst mains pipe has been fixed overnight - and up to 5,000 homes and businesses in Littleport, Coveney, Little Downham and Prickwillow have had their water supplies restored.
Yesterday, some schools, including Millfield Primary and Downam Fuffies Primary School were closed because they had no water.
Anglian Water engineers worked through yesterday and into last night to fixed the fault, caused by a water main which burst in two places early yesterday morning.
