Police say jewellery of "massive sentimental value" has been stolen from a home in Peterborough.
A gold ring with an oval green stone and diamonds, and a necklace, were stolen during a burglary in Hillward Close in Orton Longueville earlier this month.
The break-in was discovered on September 18, but may have happened during the week before as the victim had spent time in hospital.
A laptop was also stolen during the burglary.
Detective Constable Adam Blake, who is investigating, said: "These items are of massive sentimental value to the victim who is elderly.
I would urge anyone who has been offered either the necklace or ring for sale, or knows of their whereabouts, to call police."
Anyone with any information is asked to call DC Blake on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.
