Man Crushed By Metal Plate In Wisbech

A man has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after he was crushed by a steel plate in Cambridgeshire.
The East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust (EEAST) was called at 1.47pm yesterday (22nd December) to an address in Boleness Road, Wisbech, to a report that a steel plate had fallen on to a man from a forklift.
An ambulance crew and two rapid response vehicles attended the scene and the East Anglian Air Ambulance was also called.
A man in his 20s was treated for a suspected major pelvic fracture and was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital by the air ambulance for further treatment.
