Man Murdered In Burwell

Police have launched a murder investigation following the death of a 36-year-old man in Burwell.

Officers were called just after 2am to reports of an incident in First Drove.

His family have been made notified but formal identification has not yet taken place.
 
A cordon remains in place at First Drove and is likely to be on for some time.

Officers will remain in and around the surrounding area throughout the day.

DCI Jason Gordon, from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire major crime unit, said: "We are in the early stages of this investigation but at this stage we are treating this as an isolated incident.
"We are keen to hear from anyone who may have information about this man's death."
