Woman Dies In Peterborough Crash

A woman's died following a crash in Peterborough.

The crash in Hartwell Way, Westwood, involved one vehicle, a Volkswagen Golf GTi, which left the road at about 11.50pm yesterday (September 15) and hit a lamp post and a tree.

The 29-year-old woman, who was a front seat passenger, suffered fatal injuries.

A 32-year-old man who was driving the car and a 25-year-old man who was a rear seat passenger suffered slight injuries.

A 32-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and remains in custody at Thorpe Wood Police Station.

Police are investigating and are appealing for anyone who saw the crash or the vehicle just prior to contact them.
