3 Year Old Dies After Being Hit By A Bus

A 3 year old girl who was hit by a bus in Luton has died.

Emergency services were called to Dunstable Road in Bury Park at 3:45pm yesterday (8 Aug).

The toddler, who has been formally identified as Mayah Alleyah Shazad, had collided with a bus.

Police say her family are being supported by family liaison officers who are keeping them in touch with developments, and that their "condolences are with them at this time".

The road was closed until 8pm as specialist Police Collision Investigators had to make a thorough examination of the scene.

The driver of the bus is with police officers, as is normal with fatal crashes.

Local PCSOs in the area want to speak to anyone who can give information about what they may have seen.
