Police have released a CCTV image of a man they want to speak to in connection with a robbery at a Tesco garage in Corby.
A man riding a black and green-coloured mountain bike was seen approaching the filling station in St James Road at around 10.35am on Saturday (Aug 16).
Once inside he produced a mallet-style metal hammer before jumping over the counter area and smashing both cash tills open and seizing a large amount of cash.
He was last seen cycling towards the bridge in Oakley Road.
The offender was described as white, 5ft 9in, with a slim to medium build. He was wearing a black hooded Adidas top with three white stripes down the front of each arm.
He was wearing the hood on top of a light-coloured baseball cap which had a Burberry check peak to it. He also wore black trainers, trousers and gloves.
Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
