Man Assaulted In Hemel
Police are appealing for witnesses and information following an assault in Hemel Hempstead on Sunday, December 19.
Between 1am and 1.25am a man was walking along George Street. As he came to the junction with Allendale he was approached from behind by two people who assaulted him. During the assault the victim, a 44 year old man, had money taken. He also suffered injuries to his face and chest. He was taken to hospital for treatment.
The offenders are described as two people who were wearing dark clothing. They ran from the scene along Allendale towards Randalls Park.
Detective Constable Deborah Keating is investigating and said: “This was a particularly nasty attack which may have left the victim needing specialist treatment. I believe this was unprovoked and I would urge anyone with any information about what happened to contact police. If you were in the area at the time, saw anyone acting suspiciously or running from the scene, or know who is responsible please call me on 01442 271611.
