Police in Bedford are appealing for witnesses to come forward after a man indecently exposed himself in Greenshields Road on Saturday, June 28.
The incident happened at approximately 1.10am after the 16 year old victim had noticed a man in a van following her along Greenshields Road.
The man asked the girl for directions and asked her to "take a look" as she looked into the van the driver exposed himself.
The offender is described as a white man, in his mid 30s, with a slim build and local accent driving a silver Vauxhall Astra van.
PC Val Bale, investigating, is keen to trace anyone who witnessed the incident or anyone who has been subjected to similar behaviour recently.
PC Bale said: "The victim has been made to feel very scared by the event and we need members of the public to help trace this man to ensure we can put a stop to his behaviour."
Anyone with information relating to this crime can contact PC Bale, in confidence, at Bedfordshire Police on 101, or text information to 07786 200011.
