Man Dies In Northampton Lake

A 57 year old man has died at Sixfields lake in Northampton.

Emergency services were called shortly after 4pm yesterday (27 July) to reports a canoe had overturned.

Northamptonshire Police, the county's Fire and Rescue Service, and the East Midlands Ambulance Service attended.

The body of a 57-year-old man was recovered from the lake just before 5pm, along with the canoe.

The man’s death is not being treated a suspicious and a report will be prepared for the coroner.
