Police Patrols In Luton One Week After Attack On Elderly Man

Police will be carrying out an anniversary appeal today, one week after an elderly man was assaulted in Wardown Park.
Officers will be handing out leaflets and speaking to possible witnesses to the assault which happened between 1pm and 4pm on Saturday, December 5.
The victim suffered serious head injuries including a fractured jaw after he was attacked while walking his small dog in the park near the lake.
Detective Sergeant Tom Hamm said: "The victim remains in a critical but stable condition in hospital having suffered a fractured jaw and a bleed to the brain.
"This was a very serious assault and we are asking anybody who was in Wardown Park between 1pm and 4pm to contact us if they saw this incident or three Asian youths in the park before or after the attack took place."
