Serious Sexual Assault At Santa Pod Raceway

A woman has been seriously sexually assaulted by two men following an event at Santa Pod Raceway.

It happened in the early hours of Sunday 13th July after the Dragstalgia event.

The 20 year old woman had been in the bar area but left around 1am with an acquaintance called Darren to go to his tent.

She then left his tent at 1:30am and was making her way off the site when two men grabbed her hair and seriously sexually assaulted her.

Police want to hear from anyone who was at the Dragstalgia event and may have seen or heard something suspicious.

They also want to trace Darren, who is thought to be from the Wellingborough area.

DI Jerry Waite from Bedfordshire Police says: 

“This was a terrifying and horrendous experience for this young lady to have to deal with and she has been left truly devastated by what happened. 

"The victim has been very courageous and in supplying information about exactly what happened during her ordeal and she continues to receive support from her family and specialist officers at this time."
