A man from Watford is due in court today charged by police under the Terrorism Act 2006.
A man from Watford has been charged with helping another man commit terrorists act.
Tahir Bhatti, 44, from Watford and 26 year old Imran Khawaja, from Southall in west London were arrested on Tuesday night in Dover.
Khawaja is accused of preparing to commit terrorist acts, receiving training in the use of firearms and attending a place for terrorist training.
Bhatti has been charged with assisting Khawaja to commit terrorist acts.
It is understood the charges relate to the preparation of acts of terrorism outside the UK.
Officers have searched a number of addresses in west London and a property in Hertfordshire as part of the police probe.
Both will appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court today.
