Heart's been sent these artist impressions of the new £5 million bus station for Chatham.
It's now been agreed who will build the depot and forms a major part of the redevelopment of the town centre.
Construction group Morgan Sindall have been put in charge of the development on the waterfront in Chatham and it should be finished by next March.
The bus station will replace the current one at the Pentagon Shopping Centre and will consist of 19 stops, it will also use GPS technology to let passengers know when their bus is going to arrive.
Leader of Medway Council Cllr Rodney Chambers, said: “The appointment of Morgan Sindall as main contractor represents important progress for Chatham. It means we can now press ahead with getting this superb new bus station up and running by next year. That’s the deadline because our central government funding for the project is time-limited.”
He added: “Even though the programme currently indicates an overrun beyond 31st of March we are using every endeavour to bring the project in on time."
The canopies over the bus station will have a 'living' green sedum roof and there will be tall glass screen around the stop to protect people from the weather.
