CCTV Released after Garage Robbery
Police are appealing for information and release CCTV after robbery last week
A man entered the Texaco garage forecourt shop on Walderslade Road at about 5.50pm on Wednesday 8 September.
The man went behind the counter and stole some cash and cigarettes. A man and woman were working in the shop at the time, but no-one was injured. It’s believed that the offender may have been carrying a hammer.
Police have released CCTV images of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the incident. He was wearing a black hooded top with grey tracksuit bottoms. He also had a white crash helmet on with blue and white stripes on it.
Detective Inspector Ann Lisseman said: ‘We would like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and saw a man entering the garage forecourt area. The man threatened staff and the incident was over very quickly. We believe that someone knows who carried out this offence and would urge them to come forward to help us with our enquiries. This was an isolated incident and there have been no further reports of robberies of this nature recently across Medway.’
